Pastor’s Welcome Message
Welcome to 2umc.org, the online ministry of the Second United Methodist Church of Millville, NJ. I’m glad you stopped by! For more than 150 years, Second UMC has witnessed for Jesus Christ and ministered to the changing needs of our community and the wider world. Today, we seek to accomplish this by reaching those still “outside” the church, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, and equipping Christian believers to live meaningful, successful lives and serve others.
This website provides you with basic information about our church, our beliefs and history, and snapshots of the many ways “2umc” strives to be faithful in the 21st century. Please take a few moments to explore how you can join in the opportunities for worship, discipleship, fellowship and service highlighted here. Our activities are updated weekly, so check back often!
If you live in the Greater Cumberland County area, I strongly encourage you to visit and experience life at 2umc for yourself. Don’t worry about being “new” – although I grew up in Millville, I am new to Second UMC, too! After 13 years of ministry in Burlington County, I began my ministry here in July, 2011. I hope my time here will inaugurate a season of spiritual birth, growth and remarkable renewal for both this congregation and community. Your partnership in bringing that hope to reality through your prayers, presence, gifts and service is both needed and welcome.
