MUSIC plays an important role in the life of every church. At Second UMC, we embrace diverse styles of Christian music and offer opportunities for people to share their gifts in worship. Our 8:45 am service employs both classic hymns and gospel songs in a traditional setting, while our 11:15 am service showcases the contemporary Christian praise and worship genre. Our resident organist is Jean Pianin. Praise Team rehearsal is on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm. For information on participation in the contemporary praise team, contact team leader Chuck Thornley, for information about participating in the music ministry for the traditional service, contact Corine Elliott, Choir Director. |
